Have you ever just had that feeling?

You just knew, “this is THE one”.

Well…I have been fortunate enough to have that feeling and not only with my husband.

When it came to photography, I just knew. I knew that I was meant for this.

I spent my childhood surrounded by the inspiration of the jungles of Guatemala. Alive. Vivid. Colorful. Every aspect was beautiful and dramatic. I guess my love for pictures has always been there. I would just sit and watch my surroundings taking mental pictures that are just as vivid in my memory today as they were when I captured them. A shot that no one else will ever see.

My background has absolutely shaped my artistic view, in fact it’s one of my most unique aspects. I strive to capture the sophisticated dramatic colors and deep richness in every photo I take. I use my mind’s eye to look beyond the “typical” photos to re-imagine your moments and capture the shot not seen. You might even catch me on the floor behind the pew…..

About Us:

My hubby (Jonathan) and I started Shannah Phillips Photography when we realized unlike some married couples, we love, love, love to work together! Since I’m the artist and he’s the brains (well maybe not all the brains), I take the photos and he runs all the technical stuff.

The one thing you need to know about us is that we love to laugh and play, as you can see in the above photo. Laughter is the medicine for the soul.
