Interview for Promo
Hello all.
I recently had the awesome opportunity to interview a Doctoral Professor at Regent University here locally in Virginia Beach. This came with some hesitation, mainly because I knew I would be doing it by myself. There are always more difficulties when it comes to doing complete set ups by yourself but when you add on top of that you have to also be the interview…well…then it’s just crazy. I have to admit it was hard. When I was asking the questions all I could think about was “I hope that glare from his glasses won’t eb noticable from the angle the camera is on”. Yes, I know, always the photographer. Well anywhoo a couple set up photos are below. Since afterall I didn’t have a model for the lights I had to use myself. I love the self timer setting.
This is all natural light coming from the window:

This is using the window light as a back light. One light spotting the poster, and one as a key on the subject:
Final set up, window = backlight, one spot light, one key, and one dimmed to flush out some of the darker shadows on the right side:
Overall for doing it all by myself I think it turned out pretty good.
Happy Saturday!
