A Jewish Wedding.
Every time I attend a Jewish wedding it amazes me. There are so many traditions and customs and symbolism that happens at each one. In fact every Jewish wedding I’ve attended has had something new because of it.
The wedding I photographed this past week was no exception. Although there were some recognizable traditions, there were also some that I’ve never seen before.
The couple wanted to express their new lives together through a sand like combination ceremony. But instead of using sand they used salt. The tradition comes from the a time in history when Salt covenants were as binding as written ones and when Salt could actually be used as currency.
It was a beautiful day for a beautiful wedding.
Thank you Joshua and Jasmine for letting be a part of your special day!
Happy Friday!
